Quality Control Procedure

1. Purpose

The purpose of this quality control procedure is to provide the requirement to ensure that all the activities involve in the Production and Erection of Precast Concrete Elements are as per approved shop drawings and specifications.

2. Scope

Scope of this quality Control Procedure covers inspection and testing operations and activities relevant to the inspections and documentation requirements related to the execution for the Production of Precast Concrete Elements in an effcient, effective and safe manner.

5. Responsibilities

a. Operations Manger - Responsible for formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources and securing compliance.

b. Business Development Manager - Responsible for setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth, attending conferences with clients.

c. Sales Manager - Responsible for selling products and services using solid arguments to prospective customers. Performing coats-benefits analyses of existing and potential customers.

d. QA/QC Manager - Responsible for inspection, testing and Quality Assurance & Control requirements during production, storage & delivery.

e. Design Manager- Responsible for performing and obtaining approvals for the design calculations, quantity calculations and preparing fabrication shop drawings.

f. Production Engineer/Supervisor - Responsible to lead & supervise the production activities precast concrete elements.

g. QA/QC Engineer - Responsible to lead quality inspections where required in accordance with Inspection and Test Plan and necessary quality control implementation by following Company Specification.

h. Safety Officer – Ensure that all site activities are carried out in accordance with Project Health Safety and Environment Plan.

i. Production Foreman – Supervise the activities and report to the Production Engineer.

j. Approved ITL - Responsible for all testing of materials as per project specification

PROCEDURE

6.1 General :
MTI Operation Manager in coordination with Quality Assurance/Control Manager will ensure that relevant production shop drawings, method statement approval from Company are obtained prior to commencement of production of precast concrete elements. MTI QC Engineer will check and verify the Third party Certification of all Equipments.

6.2 Work Methodology (Production & Erection of Precast Concrete Elements) Quality Control Procedure:
  • Moulds and Steel Reinforcements are fabricated as per approved shop drawing and check and verified by MTI QC Engineer/Inspector.
  • Concrete will be supplied by Batch Plant and shall be check and verified by MTI QC Engineer prior to casting.
  • MTI QC Engineer will verify the items listed on check sheet and make physical verification that the final products (precast elements) are produced as per requirements mentioned in the Method Statement.
  • Sampling and testing where required, will be carried out In-house and by ITL under ITR in accordance with testing frequencies specified in relevant project specifications.
